Maxton have said the shock will not fit as they have tried to fit one, not sure what to say to that.

But I can upgrade to the dearest shock they make.............that will fit they stated, but do not want to spend 10% of a bikes value on a shock, not financially worth it.

Not 100% sure it is, doesn't the R1 shock have a ride height adjuster ? The MT doesn't, thats for sure. Well apart from the pre-load anyway.

Why do they make them so damn soft?!
Trying full preload at 15 turns. And -2 clicks compression damping, 98kg + gear. Felt ok during first ride, and I gained a couple of millimeter travel

For next time what can I do to not leave marks on the adjusters?

6 sided 12mm (IIRC) socket for the preload, 1/4 drive with either a wobble extension or universal joint, ball ended allen key for the others... the coating is very soft but that preload adjuster, what did you use?

Regarding the rear spring on the SP.
I contacted Ohlins to check if the stock spring would work for me (95kg kitted).

    This was the response:

Standard spring is article number 21040-29, rate 90N/mm, should be ok for your weight depending on your riding style.

If you want to use harder spring you can go to article number 21040-34, rate 100N/mm.
